Where the Ashtamudi meets a mangrove village.
Munroe Island is a chain of eight little islets stitched into the Ashtamudi backwaters of Kollam, Kerala. It's a place where the sea, the Kallada river and everyday village life braid together into narrow canals lined with mangroves and coir-making yards.
Mundro View is a locally-run outfit offering guided kayaking on both the Western route — calm, mangrove-lined canals through village life — and the Eastern route — wide open backwaters for experienced paddlers. Every tour is small, safety-first, and led by people who grew up on these waters.
Trusted paddling. Priceless mornings.
We keep groups small, gear premium, and the pace calm. Every trip is a curated slice of Kollam backwater life — never a rushed rental.
